Continental
Biomass Industries (CBI) has unveiled its newest Magnum Force series
grinder, the Shingle Pro XL 406. CBI said that it set out to build the
highest-quality shingle processing machine available on the market.
According
to CBI, shingle grinding is one of the toughest applications a machine can be
built for, and so the Shingle Pro XL 406’s features also make it ideally suited
for high-volume reprocessing of all types of material. This includes wood and
bark reground into high-quality mulch.
The Shingle
Pro XL 406 is designed for single-pass processing to a finished end product and
the company has said that it is bigger, stronger, more reliable and more
productive than anything made for this application. Features include a hog box
design that allows the upper hog box and bonnet assembly to lift hydraulically to
expose the rotor and grates for safer and easier maintenance. There is a heavy-duty
reinforced housing with replaceable wear liners and a rugged forged rotor with
heavy-duty hammers and tips, which CBI said are easy and cost-effective to
maintain. The integrated water spray system is designed for efficient dust
control and the enclosed discharge conveyor provides added dust control. The optional CBI Magnum Overband Magnet
features an extra-strong permanent magnet enclosed in a special stainless steel
frame, designed for effective removal of metal and maximum performance.
