Construction Equipment has introduced its Tier 4 Interim engine line-up. It has
a full range of EPA Tier 4 Interim compliant engines available for larger
machinery. These new engines also point the way forward to a Tier 4 Final
solution in 2014, said the company.
Case claimed
that its equipment will use a combination of cooled exhaust gas recirculation
(CEGR) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) to achieve a 90% reduction in
exhaust particulate matter and near zero levels of nitrous oxides (NOx). By
calling upon the global resources of the Fiat Group, including Fiat Power Train,
Case said that it has been able to meet coming legislation without sacrificing
performance for the customer and that in many cases customers will benefit from
improved power outputs and reduced fuel consumption.
