The NBT30H is one of two models that Manitowoc Cranes introduced from its newly designed line of National Crane boom trucks. The NBT30H is a redesigned version of National Crane 1300H and retains a capacity of 30US tons (27tonnes).  Boom and jib configurations were also unchanged during the redesign, but there were several improvements on other systems.

The hydraulic system has been completely standardized with the National Crane 900H, including the pump, main control valve, hoist and hydraulic reservoir.

The boom truck’s Easy Reach control and lever system was redesigned for compatibility with the CANbus LMI system. It is also now made of stainless steel to improve the corrosion resistance. The LMI display has been improved for better graphics and more functionality, including an on-board display of error codes and a real-time display of the outrigger position.

The NBT30H was accompanied to CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011 by the larger NBT 55.
