Clearly it seems
that Atlas Copco is a big supporter of the whole ‘good things come in small packages’
saying. For proof, look no further than the release of its newest, most compact
and agile portable compressor ever.
Compared to the company’s previous
offerings, the XAS 27 may be small – 85inches. long x 39.4inches wide x 38.9
inches, tall and weighs only 595lbs. - but it is designed to provide exceptional value,
power, reliability and durability for its users.
Powered by a
two-cylinder Honda GX630 engine rated 18.9hp at 3000 rpm, the XAS 27 is the
first gasoline-fueled portable compressor offering in the entire Atlas Copco
portable air range.
It is an ideal solution for users who need to operate only
one tool at a time in applications that include running pneumatic breakers,
chippers, hammers or small hand tools.
The XAS 27 uses a
hybrid polyethylene/steel canopy that shares some components from Atlas’
HardHat polyethylene cover. Its fuel tank is part of the canopy and
incorporates an electric fan for cooling.
When open, the canopy allows users
easy access to the air-oil separator and spin-on filter, among other filters.
