Ammann’s new
generation of vibratory rammers, the ACR 60 and ACR 68, are designed to cover a
much broader range of compaction applications in tight areas. The ACR 60 and
ACR 68 are equipped with Honda four-stroke GX 100 petrol engines with an
output of 2.95hp (2.2kW) at 4,300rpm. Ammann said that the new rammers are
exceptionally stable in operation thanks to a low-seated engine and correspondingly
low centre of gravity. The fuel tank has a capacity of 0.85US gallons (3.2litres) and
is designed to allow long periods of use.
