Metso has used CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011 to announce the forthcoming release
of its new Ellipti-Flo screening system, which it says will achieve
significantly higher production rates than existing systems.
The new screening system will provide complete control of critical
screen operating parameters.
With the ability to dynamically adjust the stroke angle and force, the
Ellipti-Flo range will be able to produce up to 30% more than a traditional
banana screen in the same footprint, said Scott Snyder, vice president of Metso
Vibration Equipment.
“This is a revolutionary step forward in separation technology and is
exclusive to Metso,” said Snyder.
“It provides complete, real-time control of the machine while moving
material.”
He said the system would handle material that historically has been
difficult or impossible to separate, including sticky wet material that would
blind a traditional incline machine.
The Ellipti-Flo system will also feature newly-developed high-load,
bearingless exciters.
According to Snyder, an innovative design gives the potential for
infinite life to the exciter mechanisms.
“The result is no rebuilds with very simple maintenance,” he said.
The Ellipti-Flo system will give 30% higher production rates than
Metso’s TS screen system, the only triple deck elliptical banana screen
designed for construction, which itself achieves up to 40% more production on
the same footprint as a typical incline screen.
