Taiwan-based
Everpads used CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011 to launch its range of carbide cold planer
cutting tools, which can be used as alternatives to Kennametal and Wirtgen
teeth.
The company is
claiming performance improvements of 10-20% compared with other brands, with
prices up to 30% cheaper.
“Most cold
planer brands use Kennametal-sourced teeth and ours are a more economical
alternative to them,” said Everpads sales representative Alexander McIntosh.
The company,
which has been in the business of making rubber pads for pavers, excavators and
other tracked equipment, is about to set up a new facility in Milwaukee, he
said.
