Building upon its successful biding software, BID2WIN will release a new logistics management module next month for its BUILD2WIN solution. The aim is to provide contractors with a single solution in which to bid, track and allocate resources for construction jobs. The logistics module is integrated directly into the company’s web-based platform, which is available anywhere with a wired or wireless internet connection, helping to streamline work in the field.

BUILD2WIN is built on Microsoft’s .NET and SQL server platforms. It allows for real-time data tracking of job information and mobile field tracking if no internet connectivity is available. Data is automatically synchronized with the web server as soon as the laptop or mobile device is connected. BUILD2WIN is also GPS-vendor agnostic, working with any number of geo-location solutions in the field.

“BUILD2WIN allows you to figure out how much time is being spent on each task and at each site and how much work is left to be completed,” said BID2WIN vice president Dave Todaro. “The system makes you aware of what is going on and gives you the tools to deal with problems that come up immediately—rather than weeks later.”

The new logistics module streamlines scheduling employees for specific jobs and resource allocation. Data can be used with mapping software to give foremen a geographic view of job sites.

Another module aimed at helping management of equipment maintenance is currently in development.
