Telogis is promoting
Fleet 8, its reliable and scalable GPS fleet management software, at
CONEXPO/CON-AGG 2011.
Telogis’
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) GPS fleet management system improves productivity
and operational streamlining by allowing fleet managers to make informed,
real-time routing and allocation decisions. Telogis regional account executive
Derrick Smith told Daily News that it
is a tool to save money, enabling managers to monitor the performance of both
vehicles and employees by tracking their speed, location and idling time.
He said it is an ideal
tool for dispatching, as the dispatch manager will quickly be able to see who
is the closest person to the job. Fleet 8 also incorporates traffic and weather
data to assist fleet managers in making the best decision. Additional new
components include multiple vehicle histories, streetside and bird’s-eye-view
imaging and a fuel card reconciliation module that monitors and manages fuel
cards.
Fleet 8 offers a wide
range of tools to manage a company’s mobile assets, whether trucks or
equipment, or on 50 or 50,000 vehicles. It monitors the location, health,
performance and security of mobile assets, and presents the data in a way that
is easy for fleet managers and executives to understand.
